"We cannot solve problems with the same level of intelligence that created them." Albert Einstein "We are not humans on a spiritual journey. We are spiritual beings on a human journey." Stephen CoveyTo our knowledge no death has been attributed directly to Morgellons symptoms. Sadly, a few individuals overwhelmed by the severity of symptoms committed suicide. We are aware of a small number of people who have more or less learned to manage most of their symptoms. However, we don't know of anybody, with the exception of a Saskatchewan woman who claimed to have been healed by the Lord Jesus on October 26th, 2008, who completely eliminated Morgellons out of their system.
In our experience, a holistic approach - physical, mental and spiritual - is the most effective way of handling the Morgellons symptoms. Ideally, a concurrent adjustment on all thee levels would be most beneficial. To truly produce such adjustment fairly drastic changes are usually required in most, if not all, aspects of a person's daily affairs and outlook on life in general. It is not an easy task to create a significant change and everyone who tried it encountered a tremendous resistance. However, it is not easy to live with severe Morgellons symptoms either.
Physical: An appropriate diet is on top of the list towards recovery. Since we all possess a different body the diet will somewhat vary from one individual to the next. Perhaps one of the best guidelines is to eat accordingly to the person's blood type. "Eat for your blood type" charts and books can be obtained in health food stores and bookshops. Regardless of the blood type the following culprits promote the severity of Morgellons symptoms:Sugar - Processed sugar of any form in the food or drinks is the number one instigator of the symptoms.
Yeast - Elimination of yeast from the system produces wonders for the person's well-being and recovery of energy. Periodic Candida cleanses are highly recommended.
Inactivity - Although fatigue is often a great obstacle, keeping the body active is of a paramount importance. Daily nature walks, yoga, or Tai-chi should be considered. Both, yoga and Tai-chi can be done in the privacy of one's home. DVD can be borrowed from the library.
PH Imbalance - Due to improper diets most people have high acidity levels in their system. Adjusting diet to a minimum intake of 70% - 80% of alkaline foods is essential. Regulating eating patterns to smaller amounts of food at more frequent intervals, opposed to two or three large meals a day, helps to maintain a higher energy level.
Skin care - People often overcompensate the maintenance and care of the wounded skin. The line between careful cleansing of the skin lesions and obsessive scraping and picking is frequently crossed resulting in severe scaring and infection. Gentle care and sanitary conditions have to be maintained at all costs. Careful use of Funga Soap and a sanitizer such as Endure 300 (0r any other alcohol based sanitizer) will minister to immediate (unfortunately not permanent) removal of many foreign particles from the skin. Apple cider vinegar combined with a mixture of herbs keeps feet healthy and prevents nail fungus.
Stress - Stress contributes to the increase of Morgellons symptoms. Eliminating stress factors, and if necessary changing personal lifestyle, may be required. Deep breathing exercises, meditation, yoga, reading and long walks will help to reduce stress.
Fear and Anxiety - Facing the unknown, not getting any answers, being diagnosed as delusional, having very strange symptoms taking place in one's body and being isolated can be very frightening. Working on the causes of anxiety is more relevant than masking symptoms with medication.
Frustration - Visiting a myriad of
doctors, waiting for research results and pharmaceutical companies to come up
with a cure is counterproductive. Nobody knows your body better than you.
Introspection, consultation with holistic practitioners, exercise, fresh air,
proper diet, stress reduction and positive outlook on life are steps towards
taking full responsibility for one's well-being.
Everything is connected. It is imperative we see the parallel between the experience with Morgellons parasitic symptoms and the way the human race treats our planet. The parasitic behavior of the human kind and its horrendous disregard for Earth has reached a critical point.
Since everything is connected we have to realize we are not the only intelligent beings in this universe. The Earth and the human kind are being prepared for a unique and extraordinary evolutionary step. This evolution will happen with us, not to us. We have to take a responsibility to live in this amazing time. It is not enough to say "I'm spiritual and I believe something special will happen". One must believe that we are part of something much greater than ourselves.
"Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back. Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth that ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one's favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamed would have come his way. Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Begin it now." Johann W. von Goethe
